|The Health Visitor is a qualified nurse and community practitioner who specialises in promoting the health and development of infants and pre-school children and their families. She can give help and advice on a range of issues including feeding and behaviour.|
She is also responsible for promoting general health and well-being in all age groups engaging in public health activities at the point of local need, thus encouraging health and enhancing activity. This may range from acting as an advocate for a client, to signposting clients towards the relevant or appropriate activity or department.
She also runs a Weight Management Clinic for patients registered with Aelfgar Surgery.
