Primary Health Care Team

Clinical Team

Our Nurse Practitioner, Tegwen Deakin and Practice Pharmacist, Lisa Alman, are both independent prescribers and can see you for minor ailments eg cough, cold, sore throat, urinary tract infection, rashes

In addition our Practice Pharmacist can see you for medication and asthma reviews.

We also have a Pharmacy Technician, Jo Rider, who can see you for medication/hypertension reviews.

Our Physician Associate, Jessica Bayton, is a medically trained clinician, working alongside the doctors and other team members.  She can see a range of conditions from minor illnesses to some chronic disease reviews.  Currently though she is not able to prescribe.

We have two practice nurses, Lynn Fletcher and Heather Waldron

The Nursing Team are fully qualified to carry out:

  • Health promotion e.g., dietary advice
  • Immunisations for children and travellers
  • Advice on precautions when abroad
  • Dressings and removal of sutures
  • Smears
  • Chronic disease annual reviews

Our Health Care Assistants, Sue Stevenson and Clair Stockill are trained to carry out:

  • New patient health checks
  • Blood pressure checks
  • Taking blood samples
  • Influenza/Pneumonia and B12 Injections
  • ECG’s

We have a Mental Health Practitioner, Sue Morrow, who can assess people’s needs, provide advice and guidance and support access to appropriate services if required. Book an appointment with her if you suffering from anxiety, stress or low mood and are not already open to mental health services.

Morgan Lloyd is our First Contact Practitioner (FCP). He is a qualified physiotherapist and can offer remote consultations for the following:

  • Neck, shoulder, back hip, knee, ankle or foot pain
  • Sprains, strains, sports injuries
  • Arthritis
  • Problems with muscles, ligaments, tendons or bone
  • Pins and needles or numbness
  • Guidance after orthopaedic surgery
